Selva del Camp is a town and municipality in the region of Baix Camp, located between the Camp plain and the Mussara foothills. It currently has about 5,600 inhabitants approximately. Its maximum height is the Puig d’en Cama, 712 meters. It is connected by road to Almoster, Reus, El Morell, Vilallonga del Camp, Alcover, Albiol and Vilaplana.
It has a train station. It is an agricultural village, with the hazelnut as the main product, followed by olive tree, almonds, grapes, vegetables and fruit, but it also have an industrial estate with good communications, with a wide range of companies. It has plenty of municipal facilities, like Pavorde Castle, the Garden of Churches, the municipal hall and the indoor pool, or the area of education, among others.
Remarkable cultural events and activities are done every year, such as Divendres Sant from La Selva del Camp, a declared national interest cultural festival, la Selva’s Mistery (original from the fourteenth century) or the medieval festival.
