Triple podium for France in water skiing

Spain dominates in Castelldefels Olympic Channel with four gold medals in canoe

Third day of competition of the Mediterranean Games of Tarragona and it has begun with a triple podium for France in the water skiing discipline. The final has been played this morning in Marina Port Tarraco in Tarragona.

Camille Poulain-Ferarios has won the gold medal, whereas her colleagues Manon Costard and Laura Martin have been winners of the silver and bronze medal respectively. France already has five gold medals and 17 medals in total.

This morning the canoe finals have also been played in Castelldefels Olympic Channel where the Spanish delegation had a great performance with 4 gold medals.

In the K-1 200 m aquatic discipline Spain has won a gold medal for men’s and women’s with Carlos Garrote and Teresa Portela respectively. Besides, in the K-1 500 m category, Roi Rodríguez has won the gold medal with his colleagues Marcus Cooper and Rodrigo Germade in the 500 m K-2 category. With these medals, Spain already has five gold medals and is on the top of medal-winning countries with a total of 26.

The karate competition has finished today in Cambrils Pavilion. During the morning, the finals have been played and FYROM’s Jakupi Berat has won the gold medal in the -84 kg men’s category, Algeria’s Daikhi Hocine has obtained the gold medal in the +84 kg men’s category and France’s Nancy Garcia won the gold medal in the +68 kg women’s category. Tomorrow the judo competition will be hosted in these facilities.

Swimming and fencing finals to be played this afternoon

The pool of the Mediterranean Ring will offer a promising spectacle this afternoon hosting, as it happened yesterday, a new final round. You can check the timetables for today on this link.

Some finals of the fencing competition will be played in La Selva del Camp, a sports discipline that has started today in the Mediterranean Games. Check here the timetable.

Reus Municipal Stadium will host at 20:00 Spain vs Bosnia-Herzegovina match, whereas the Turkey vs Greece will be played in Calafell at the same time.
