Spain, Greece and Italy obtain the gold medal in sailing
Sailing competition will close today with the medal ceremony in Salou Nautic Clubcategory: Mediterranean Games
During the last days of the Mediterranean Games the last series of sailing have taken place in the venue of Salou Nautic Club.
In men’s laser standard category, Spain’s Joaquín Blanco has conquered the gold medal with a score of 33 points. Cyprus’ Pavlos Kontides (48) has finished in second position and the also Spanish athlete Joel Rodríguez (52), has finally obtained the bronze medal.
In women’s category, competing in laser radial series, the first position has gone to Greece’s Athanasia Fakidi, with a score of 30 points. Italy’s Silvia Zennaro (38) has qualified for the second position and, finally, Spain’s Martina Reino (40) has completed the podium.
Besides, the RS:X modality has been played for the first time in a sports programme of the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona 2018, both in men’s and women’s category.
At the end of the RS:X, Italy’s Mattia Camboni (20) and Spain’s Blanca Manchón (21) have conquered the gold medal. The silver medal has gone to France’s Louis Giard (24) and Spain’s Marina Alabau (33), whereas the bronze medal has been assigned to Italy’s Matteo Evangelisti (31) and Flavia Tartaglini (33).
