Sònia Franquet did not qualify for the shooting final

The markswoman from Ascó, Sònia Franquet, has been eliminated this morning in the 10m air pistol shooting competition and so she has dropped out from the final. Franquet has finished the first qualifying round in the ninth place out of 17 participants. Only the first 8 shooters have qualified.
The Spanish competitor has scored 559 points in total and tied with the Portuguese Joana Castelão who finished in eighth place. She has qualified for the final that has taken place in Sant Salvador pavilion at 13:00.
In the final ranking of shooting in Tarragona the Greek athlete Anna Korakaki has been first placed, with 240,2 points. The second position is for the Serbian Zorana Arunovic, with 239,9 points and the Egyptian Afaf Alhodhod has completed the podium with 241,6 points.
Franquet has scored with her six shots 90, 92, 94, 95, 94 and 94, which has prevented her from classifying for the final of these Mediterranean Games.
With 37 years, the markswoman already has a silver medal from the 10m air pistol competition in the European Games of Baku 2015. Moreover, she has participated in three Olympic Games, and had an Olympic diploma for her sixth position in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
