Last competition day in the XVIII Mediterranean Games and the last medals have been delivered in handball, volleyball and water polo.
The Sports Palace of the Mediterranean Games hosted the handball men’s final, a difficult one in which Croatia has eventually won with a tight 24 to 23 against Tunisia. The match for the bronze has been played between Spain and Turkey. The score finished with 30 to 19, so Spain has obtained a bronze medal. Right after their colleagues of the women’s team won the gold medal.
The last volleyball finals have been played in Tarraco Arena Plaza. As for women’s final, Greece has lost with 1 set to 3 against the Croatia, who has won the gold medal. In men’s, the final was quite an even final that has ended with the victory of Italy with 3 sets to 1 against Spain. The third position went to the Greek team.
Finally, in Campclar Aquatic Centre the men’s final was played in water polo together with the match for the third and fourth position. Serbia eventually won Greece after an even final, which finished with a 12-10 score. The bronze went to Montenegro.
