Kosovo is Europe’s newest country and a fascinating land at the heart of the Balkans that rewards visitors with welcoming smiles, charming mountains towns, incredible hiking opportunities and 13th century domed Serbian monasteries. It is a new country to discover, in which travelers will find lots of surprises and new challenges.
Kosovo is located in the center of the Balkans, without direct access to the sea. Much of its territory is mountainous, especially in the border. Some of the most important mountains of the territory are Prokletije Mountains, or the Deravica Mountain. Its national parks are especially known as tourist destinations, and the country is an attraction for skiers.
